Color-blindness

So I found out somewhat recently(in the past year or so) that I am colorblind. Now this doesnt mean that I cant see colors, or that everything is grey to me. I am what is called "red-green" colorblind, or color-defiecient. I have difficulty seeing some shades of green and red colors. Often, I'll put on a shirt and Leslie will tell me "You cant wear that green shirt with " I say, "But, isn't my shirt brown?"

Its really bad with wierd colors of red. Thats not red, its maroon---same thing to me. heres a couple tests for you few readers(ie my family) I'm interested if anyone else in our family has this fun thing. Let's start with just some classic dot-circle thingys.
Nice and simple...what do you see? Hopefully you see a 25...if you dont, I dont know what's wrong with you....

This one should be a 45. If you're like me, you dont see anything, just dots.

This should be a 6. If youre like me....just spots.

This final one of spots. a little easier. If you're "normal" you should see a 5. However, if you're like me, you'll see a 2 rather plainly.

I think that you should only see a gradient of color from dark red to lighter red if you're "normal." If youre like me, you will see a HUGE number 6 right in the middle.

Any one else like me?

School's a startin!!!

So this is the first blog post of my(Brad) life.....hope all goes well.

Life is amazing. I have been happily married to the most beautiful girl in the world for 9 amazing months! I cant even begin to think what the next 10 years will have in store for us.

School is rearing its ugly head. I mean, wonderful nice head.... I'm taking 2 beefy IT weeder classes that will kick my trash if I dont stay on top of them this semester. both are 4 credits. ouch. Im also taking the easiest class for me, cs100. Im only taking it so I can complete a minor in Computer Science, which I will have all done this semester! woohoo for minors!

I'm also in the Cougar Marching Band. The Power of the Wasatch. woot. We are the schznit. The band is celebrating its 100 year birthday this year. We have a brand new facility in the huge stadium that we can call our own. we are "the band of the century" to quote my director. He keeps telling us how awesome we are because we are learning the drill and the music so stinking fast, im inclined to believe him, but he may be biased....

Im working at BYU in the electric shop for another semester. which is so much stinkin fun. I'm in class for the mornings till 12, then im at the Electric Shop till about 4-4:30.

Im also working at the wonderful BO(Brick Oven). I make mad moolaa bussing tables. yeah, im awesome.

So, Thats my life right now, talk to me in a few weeks and make sure Im still alive, this semester will be fun....

Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy!! (let's do the Pee-Pee Dance for Brad)

Brad was supposed to take his final today, so he went on campus at 9am to study for is 11am final. Much to his surprise and pleasure, his professor announced that anyone who currently had an A in the class didn't have to take the final. And of course, (because he's so smart) Brad had an A in the class, so he said, "see ya later alligator!"

We are celebrating the end of the semester with our friends Ben and Melina Williamson by going to Sub Zero Creamery and mini gulfing! I've not been mini gulfing in ages, well last summer, where Brad kicked my trash!

La-La-La-La-La-La-Life is Wonderful

Brad and I are some of the most blessed individuals on the planet. Sometimes I have to pinch myself because everything is so great. We live in a cute little basement, go to school with government assistance, have a great family and a great marriage. Could life get any better? We submit that it cannot!

About Me

My photo
Brad and Leslie meet in Maryland when Brad was about to turn 3 and Leslie was just born. They grew up in the same ward for a while and eventually got married when Leslie was only 19 and Brad was 22. They are currently attending school at BYU. Brad is an Information Technology major, and Leslie is a Public Health major. They plan to stay in UT for 4 years and go to grad school during that time. Leslie and Brad are expecting a baby September 22, 2010. They are so excited!
